REVOLVE Michael Costello Paris Gown Dress

Convertible dresses are the best! They allow you to create multiple outfits from a single article of clothing. They’re also often referred to as multi-way dresses.

I recently purchased the REVOLVE X Michael Costello Paris Gown ($298) and have already worn it everywhere. The material is very thick and luxurious (it’s HEAVY). It will be a dress I’ll be wearing for years to come.

It’s also a dress that is long and will require heels. I am 5’5″ and need at least 2″ heels to keep this dress from dragging on the ground. I ordered the dress in a size medium but could have definitely sized it down to a small.

When I first got the Paris dress, I had no clue how to tie it. I played around and discovered 5 different styles you can try the next time you wear this piece.

#1 Original Halter Style

This is the traditional way to wear this gown and I honestly love it like this. I get tons of complements and it’s so comfortable to wear!

I also love that it’s somewhat of a free size so that I can wear it on my bad days and still look chic.

#2 One Shoulder

The one-shoulder style ended up being the most complicated for me to figure out. It also doesn’t feel as natural as the other methods I’ve tried.

Try wearing the one-shoulder style on the left and then the right shoulder.

This style is also great for shorter girls because it makes the dress about 2-3 inches shorter.

#3 Cross Front

The cross-front halter is a gorgeous way to wear the Paris Gown. You’ll need to shift the front to create the diamond-shaped keyhole.

#4 Trapeze Style

I loved the trapeze halter style! I allowed the string in the back to stay long so it gives some dramatic flair. I also make a single tie on the front so that the dress doesn’t open up while I am moving about.

#5 Bandeau

I was super impressed this dress could be worn as a bandeau. You can tie the tie in front or back. I love the strap as it wraps around the back to create a criss cross design.
