Same Same But Different Music & Arts Festival Announces Music Set Times and Daily Activations for Four-Day Festival

Lake Perris, Calif. – Sept. 2, 2022 – Same Same But Different (SSBD), a weekend-long beachside music and arts festival, has announced the daily set times, stage lineups and workshop schedule for the boutique four-day festival, taking place in Lake Perris Thursday, Sept. 8 to Sunday, Sept. 11. Thursday’s pre-party with Genius Loci will set the tone for the weekend with DJs and speed friending in the Hempire Recharge Lounge. From 6 to 7 p.m., early arrival campers can meet and mingle at speed friending, a speed dating-like experience focused on making new friends. From 6 p.m. to 2 a.m., artists including Jeremy Sole, Saand, and Henry Pope B2B Miss Javi will run the decks for the Genius Loci takeover. Thursday’s daily schedule may be found here.
The full first day of SSBD will begin at 8 a.m. on Friday, Sept. 9 with a range of art and wellness workshops in the Hempire Recharge Lounge, including vinyasa yoga, SUP yoga on the lake, reiki, breathwork, sound healing and more until 8:15 p.m. From 11 a.m. to 6:30 p.m., the But Circus, a circus-themed stage, will host musical performances beginning with Helena Holleran, followed by Moon Panda, Sunsets, BIIANCO and Brothertiger, while SSBD’s iconic floatopia parties will happen simultaneously in the lake with performances at The Coconut Club by EDI, Hollywood Principle, Weir, Casmalia and Justin Jay. At 6:30 p.m., The Same and The Different Stages will begin to alternate with headliners including Goldfish, Moonboots, NEIL FRANCES, Washed Out, Chromeo and GRiZ. At 1:30 a.m. The But Circus, Coconut Club and Different Stage will close out the night with Ahee, Zen Selekta, Party Pupils, The Sponges, Polyrhythmics and Diggin Dirt. Workshops will begin on Saturday, Sept. 10 at 8 a.m., including acro yoga, flow arts and silk veil fan classes, among others. From 11 a.m. to 6:30 p.m., Oren, DLMT, Party Pupils, The Brothers Macklovitch and Poolside will take on The Coconut Club, while Jesus Gonzales, Cam Steen, Q. Varo, TV Broken 3rd Eye Open and Vincent Antone perform at the But Circus. Festivalgoers can then make their way to the Same and Different Stages at 6:30 p.m. for performances by Frameworks, Funk Hunters, Polish Ambassador, Emancipator, Beats Antique and Tipper. To conclude the second day, the Different Stage, Coconut Club and But Circus will feature a Daisy Chain Takeover, Sacha Robotti, Ranger Trucco, Manic Focus and Jungle Fire from 1:45 until 4:30 a.m. Saturday’s daily schedule may be found here.
Sunday, Sept. 11 will begin with workshops, including sound bath alchemy, slow flow yoga, ecstatic dance and more from 8 a.m. to 6:30 p.m. Live performances begin at 11 a.m. featuring acts by Simba Sax, Green T, Monster Rally, Lakim and Maddy O’Neal at the Coconut Club, while Evan Hatfield, Band of Gringos, The Brothers Comatose, Harry Mack and ORGŌNE perform at the But Circus. From 6 p.m. to 12:15 a.m. the Same and Different Stages will take turns lighting up Lake Perris with performances by The California Honeydrops, Lettuce, Vulfpeck, Floozies and The Glitch Mob. The festival will close out with simultaneous performances at the Different Stage, Coconut Club and But Circus that include Mr. Eos, Ravenscoon, Fresh Veggies Micro Brass, Kaipora, Canvas and Elektric Voodoo. More music and activations may be found throughout the festival, including Discopia, a beachside music dome with daily disco sets presented by Soundboks; Groove Grove, where guests can jam on musical instruments built into the trees; an art walk during sunset on Sunday; a misted lounge with on-site cannabis delivery by Kind Delivery; and more. Guests can also enjoy stand-up paddle boarding each morning from 9 to 10 a.m. Friday through Sunday, with an additional outing from 10:30 to 11:30 a.m. on Saturday and Sunday.
