LEVEL8 is a travel gear brand. The number 8 in the brand name represents both the infinity symbol in Arabic and in math. The infinity symbol was chosen to represent the endless exploration of life with a focus on traveling.

LEVEL8 creates travel gear that enables you to explore the world without compromising style, quality, or comfort. They sell suitcases, travel accessories, and backpacks to complement your adventure.

I received the LEVEL8’s Voyager Set ($568) to review in this post. The set comes with a 20″ carry-on and a 28″ check-in rolling suitcase.

If you love a good and luxurious carry-on, their suitcases fit the bill.

I took my suitcase on my trip to Denver, and it performed better than anticipated. Below, I’ll outline the pros and cons of the LEVEL8 Voyager suitcase set.

LEVEL8 Pros

Lightweight – The carry-on suitcase only weighs 3.67 kg (8.1 lbs). Most airlines have an allowance of 12kg (26 lbs) per carry-on. This leaves a lot of room for your apparel and gear. The check-in bag has a unique slim and tall profile, which I’ve found to be better for weight distribution and organizing into a vehicle.
Hardshell Exterior – The exterior is made with a German Makrolon® Polycarbonate Hard Shell Material, which is very durable. I’ve put my set through lots of wear and tear, and they still look new!
360-degree spinner wheels. This is my favorite feature of all LEVEL8 products! Their spinner wheels are impressively quiet and glide smoothly. The wheels make pushing the suitcase around super effortless and fast.
Fully-lined Interior – Fully lined interior includes 2 main compartments and 2 zipper pockets for smaller items. One of which is a dry bag. Genius!
Dual Handles – Use two handles at the top and side of the suitcase to move your suitcase without damaging it.
Aluminum trolley bar with four heights. The adjustable luggage handle can be extended to four lengths, making it great for people of different heights.
Comes in different colors. The Voyager suitcases come in black, navy, dark olive, and limited colors. I have the limited edition yellow and black.
Comes with a free luggage tag worth $29.99!
TSA Lock – Super easy to set up and keeps my belongings protected while traveling.
Lifetime Warranty – This style comes with a lifetime warranty against manufacturer defects.
Free EU and US shipping on all orders! Shipping was very fast, and my carry-on arrived securely.

LEVEL8 Cons

Wide Handle Design is impractical for the carry-on. While the wide handle allows for maximum packaging, it doesn’t allow me to use my trolley straps/sleeves that are built in with most of my travel backpacks and totes. It does, however, make sense with the larger check in size.
Expensive – A LEVEL8 carry-on suitcase will run you anywhere between $156 to upwards of $400 for an aluminum body. But trust me, it is so worth it!
No mentions of sustainable manufacturing practices on their site.
Shallow Depth – Even with the wide handlebars, the carry-on is a bit shallow for my needs. I am still able to fit a lot, but not compared to my Monos or Solgaard suitcases. It’s great for a 3-5 day trip.

Should I Buy LEVEL8 Travel Gear?

If you’re into sleek travel gear that is quiet and high-quality, LEVEL8 is perfect. We love their glide smooth wheels, and the inner zipper pockets will keep your stuff in place as you globe-trot.

If you’re looking for sustainable luggage or luggage with more space, you may want to consider other travel gear brands. If you’re a light traveler who doesn’t want to be dragged down by your gear, then LEVEL8 is a perfect solution.
